Sunday, November 26, 2006 Long Update
SORRY EVERYONE!My modem was struck by lightning sometime last week (or was it the week befor last?) so I couldn't update much.So what been up?A-level nightOn the 16th, my parents and I went to school to attend an A-level option evening and a briefing for the rest of the academic year (IGCSE). I'm planning on studying mass communication in university, just for your information :P. I've been thinking anout what to study for A-levels too (duh!). I need to pick four, and as for now, here are my choices: Geography, English Literarture, French, Maths and either Chemistry or biology. Yes I know, that's 5/6 subjects, but i still have about 3/4 months to decide, and to decide where I will take my A-levels.PromYes! The only thing I've been looking forward to! things have gotten a bit, well, hectic. Well, maybe not hectic, but I mean, hardly anyone is buying dedications! I've been standing at the prom table the whole of last week, waiting for people to buy dedications for Prom. But hardly anyone does. GIS-ers...PLEASE buy dedications! We've taken in votings for the Prom King and Queen (Year 11) but not other years. Or at least I don't think the rest of the committee has. BracesThat's right, it's a bit late now because everyone has seen me in them. Yeah. I put them on on Monday after school (20th of November). My teeth were painful for days. I could only eat porridge (which I am now sick of), bananas and ice cream for the first half week. Now, I'm fine. It's just really annoying when food gets stuck in your braces and you're trying to cover it all up when you talk to someone.Mufti Day (24th November 2006)Sorry Prefects, you guys aren't going to like this. But I don't think Mufti Day this year was that enjoyable. It's just the same as every year. The same games, food, etc. I think you guys should have spiked it up a bit somehow. At least I won something from the raffle tickets this year, or at least I think I did, did I see my name on that list? I think I won the RM 200 worth of a Spa treatment or something like that. Decorating the Christmas treeYes, I know it's early. But Christmas decorations are soo pretty! And what's the point of having Christmas decorations out for less than a month? My family is 'appreciating' the Christmas colours :P. A little tip for those who will be decorating your Christmas trees soon: buy your decorations from Tesco. My family and I had fun yesterday, hanging baubles and snowflakes and then tying ribbons, then hoovering up the mess :P.Next door renovationOh the noise! Hammering and drilling. And to my horror, they have extended the back, right next to my room. Now they've blocked out some light from my room. How inconsiderate.John and David from CanadaToday, we had two visiters from Canada at youth. John and David. They prophesised to most of the youth and John (Yip). John: did you write down what John and David prophesised about? If you did, could you send it to me, via email? The two men were very interesting. I was touched by John's testimony.Randomness:It all starts with a smile, or in this case, a happy birthday wish. From there, it'll become a hello, and you'll go sailing through.Countdowns16 more days till my birthday-->Sweet Sixteen!19 more days till Prom 200626 mor days till the Youth Christmas Party29 more days till Christmas day36 more days till the start of next year!

Friday, November 10, 2006 Tooth Extraction
I just took my tooth out! It wasn't so bad, I've done it before, twice. The left side of my face is numb now! Slap me and I won't feel it :P. I'll be doing my right side next week on Wednesday. I started my piano lessons today, with Sunny. She is so much better than my last teacher. I'm doing grade 8 for two years, but practical only, i'm going to any theory, or rather I'm thinking about it. Grade 8 is soo hard! So many scales and all :(. I'm learning the Bumblebee too and two other exam pieces. Will be doing that for two years.

Wednesday, November 08, 2006 What major is right for me...
Seems like everyone's doing it...So here's mine | You scored as French/German/Spanish. You should strongly consider majoring (or minoring) in a foreign language, especially French or Spanish as they have a greater use in today's world. But other languages could be useful to you as well, such as Chinese, Japanese, German, Italian, or many others. With a major in a foreign language you could teach, or work for a company as a translator or foreign correspondant.
It is possible that the best major for you is your 2nd, 3rd, or even 5th listed category, so be sure to consider ALL majors in your OTHER high scoring categories (below). You may score high in a category you didnt think you would--it is possible that a great major for you is something you once dismissed as not for you. The right major for you will be something 1) you love and enjoy and 2) are really great at it.
Consider adding a minor or double majoring to make yourself standout and to combine your interests. A minor in a foriegn language is useful for ANY major. Also, business or political science are great minors for a foreign language major. Please post your results in your myspace/blog/journal.

It HURTS! I'm going to be putting on braces on the 20th of November. I have separators in my teeth right now so that it will be easy to insert the braces. I can't chew properly without screaming out with pain. OK, maybe I'm exagerrating. Yesterday was the worst. I couldn't even put my teeth together, let alone brush my teeth. Not that I didn't or anything, I did, lol. Now, I have to take out two more pre-molars in the next 2 weeks. At least I'll be losing some weight :P. How is this font size?
