Wide Eyes

I had a few wide eyed looks today. Because of my hair. I've got my fringe back now. I hated it at first but now, I love it! Haha. Got it cut on Thursday. My hair looks so straight! I need to put this orange gel moulding thing to give it shape.

Well...it's back to school tomorrow. I'm soo looking forward to it, NOT! I've had such good sleep and everything! My skin's looking much better than before and less pimples too!

Talking about skin...how do you like my new template? I just picked one out quickly, I was bored with the normal pink one. And Tatty Teddy lookes so cute! But I can't put his picture in the middle :(. AND it's still pink! Yay! Haha!

A busy weekend...again :P

I FINALLY watched The Devil Wears Prada! I LOVE IT!!! Ming Han was right...I would love it :P.

On friday, I went out with Lida and Seo. We saw so many people from our school! Especially our year. When we were having our lunch in Charms, and as soon as I told Seo that I bet we were going to meet someone from our school, Ben Price ran past. I'm psychic! Ahahahaha!

So after that, we were on our way to GSC cinema (we were in 1 Utama) and we saw Chakrit and Josh. Lol. Then when we were AT the cinema, we saw Ju, who said that she won't be joining us! Yeah, so anyway...

Then we went Prom dress shopping. We had loads of fun trying on dresses. I must say...most of them were very nice, but tres tres cher!

Movie time! After watching, I had to go home to collect my stuff for May's sleepover. Just the two of us. I saw Elaine and SangMin when I was coming down the escalator and then Wye Kit, Fung Siang and Luke at the pick-up point.

I was finally at May's. The first thing we did was...eat lunch. Then we watched Memoirs of a Geisha (my first time watching it) but I didn't really like it. Then we sort of dilly dallied. We went online and started to play this game where you had to move about a lot infront of a webcam to wake up this doggy. We did our excercise for the day :P. We played games and stayed online until 2 am. I couldn't really open my eyes anymore.

The next day, we went out shopping in Bangsar shopping centre. I saw Ms. Pow! Yeah whatever. Loitered around in May's house and prepared fruit cocktails for the BBQ. Watched MTV and then went down for the BBQ.

May and I swam first then we ate. I felt soo...weird. Because everyone else there was Korean except for one guy. Our table was all kids and I was the oldest. I felt...arrgghh! I can't describe it. None of really talked becuase I was a stranger to them and everything. It was soo...akward. Then we finally went back up to May's flat. I quickly showered and had a girl talk with May. It was time for me to go home :(.

Thanks May for the sleepover!!!

Geography Trip 12-15 October 2006 Summerset Bay Kuala Rompin

I LOVED it! I wish I were back there again.

There were 40 of us. We left on Thursday at 1:00 pm, during lunch. The coach was quite uncomfortable and I tried to sleep but kept waking up because of the noise. We reach the Summerset resort at about 5:30 pm. We were given our keys. I shared a room with May (only two per room). We had free time until dinner, that was great for all of us. It gave us all time to have a look around the hotel and to get familiar with it. Dinner was scruptious! There was crab, prawns, vegetables, desert of fruits and caked and tarts, salads, basically, it was all delicious.

Then the fun really started. We were all to meet in a meeting room. We were all showed how to tie a pareo (sarong). There were so may styles! There was a guy's style which was very funny because there was room to put food in so it was called the picnic basket. haha! Now, this is FREAKY. The recreation manager called out for Miss Summerset to show the girls how to tie their pareo. Miss Summerset turned out to be a MAN!!! As in like a man wit all those...organs and stuff. He...no, she...no...IT had a body of a woman but a face of a man. FREAKY!!!

After the presentation, we had a night walk. We had to go in a group of four (Ju, May, Ji Ye and I) and walk on a path in the forest WITHOUT any light at all. All we had was a few lamps to Guide us where to go. My group was really screaming out heads off. As in like screaming 90% of the time and whimpering/talking/singing/keeping quiet 10% of the time. Luckily, the group behind us (four guys-Luke, Jyethe, Jia Yung and Victor) caught up really quickly. Not only was it dark, but there were people under white peieces of cloth to scare us and there were growls and snorts too. The first snort really made us girls scream. We got lost in the middle but one the "ghosts" pointed the way. Two of us (including me) were really screaming a lot so we didn't see where the "ghost" was pointing. BUT! It was really fun after coming out of it.

On the second day, May and I woke up a bit late for breakfast. That was delicious too. After that, we had team building. We had to fill a barrel with sea water and then roll it up the sand ridge. After that, we had to see which team could build the highest sand pile (supposedly a sand castle) and then to run to the water with a stick and turn around seven times then come back up one at a time. After that, we did the most digusting thing ever. We had a peat swamp challenge. EURGH! The water was up to my waist and I slipped twice. Not only that, but we had to carry an egg with us. Each egg costs 10 points. None of us cracked it! Haha!

Then all of us showered. We just HAD to! Lunch time! As usual, awesome food! Then we met at the beach again and started to do some geography activities. We measured the slope of the beach in two different areas. We were all in groups of eight (Ju, May, Ji Ye, Andy, Ren, Jan Ming and Jia Yung). We finished first :). Showered again and then had dinner. At night, We had to go into our fieldwork groups and start drawing the slope of the beach. It wasn't easy. Then we had a Karaoke time. I didn't sing. Too embarrassed. Hehe. We had a choice of coke and sprite to drink. Some people sang and some played pool. Some of my friends and I left early because it was too smoky and couldn't take it. But Mr Moore (my Geography teacher) sang before we left.

Our last full day. We were beginning to feel sad. Breakfast. This time, May and I were earlier than the last morning. We were so proud of ourselves! Haha. There was a talk on questionnaires by Mr. Mcadam and Mr. Boardman. Then we had two other geography fieldwork activities. The first was to measure the longshore drift (how fast a cork moves from one point to another) and then to draw the coast. Mine was terrible and my group and I (Ju, May, Ji Ye, Lida and Sisira) lost our cork because it drifted away. We tried to get it but it was too far away. Mr. Mcadam took a video of us! Had a quick shower and was late for lunch. At least there was peace and quiet! We had free time all the way until dinner-a barbeque. All of us just lazed around, not doing anything. Eventually we went to the beach to catch a few waves or to "be the wave" as May puts it. It was really fun but something embarrassing happened to Elaine and I *cough* *cough*. It's our secret! Then we had a dip in the pool. Showered-again and waited for 8:00pm for dinner.

All of us had to wear our pareo to the barbeque. It was very dark as we ate in the forest and there were ants and mosquitoes biting us. Not very nice. There was a spider that weaved a web which was quite unappetizing. There was a show which was put on by the hotel staff. Some skits were funny. There was an opening dance. Miss Summerset danced to Sway by the Pussycat Dolls and an Anita Sarawak song. It gave me the chills. Then at the end, we did a dance and had a small bonfire where some of the pupils danced a tribal dance. It was quite amusing.

Our very last day :(. For once, May and I was very early for breakfast. Surprising. We were double proud of ourselves :P. After that, we were told to do our environmental survey of four different areas on the hotel grounds. Packed with a sad heart and took last minute photos. Had our last meal of the trip, collected out "packed lunches" and left. It was soo soo sad. Most of wished that we could start on the 12th of October again.

Photos and videos coming up!

Was not too bad. We had crabs (which was last to come), lala (spelling?), mee hoon, prawns, sting ray, vegetables with fish...and others. I can't remember, sorry.

The crab wasn't really worth the pealing because there wasn't much meat.

When we arrived back home, there was a black-out across parts of BU 10, inclusding our street. So we couldn't open our automatic gate. We tried the padlock to it but it was very rusty. So my dad in the jumping-over-the-gate stunt. Guess what we founf? A key to actuallt unlock the magnetic bit at the bottom of the gate. I know it doesn't make sense :P.

We had to use torches and candles to see. Man, the amount of carbon dioxide we were breathing in! I couldn't shower because it was so dark. So I had to shower on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking of Sunday afternoon, I woke up ONE HOUR LATE for early worhip practice! ARRGGHH! That was the first time ever. Gosh. I hope I won't do that ever again. Sorry Aunty Yoke Kheng and the worship team!

We had another blackout today, good thing it was the afternoon.

~*~

I really need to start studying for my mocks. It's three months away and the hammering and knocking next door isn't helping me. Help!
